Welcome to Agricultural Science - AG 201!
Course Description
This orientation course builds on the basic skills and knowledge gained in the Introduction to the Agricultural Industry Course. Major units of instruction include advanced plant science, soil science, animal science, and agricultural mechanics. Applied science and math skills and concepts will be stressed throughout the course as they relate to each area. The development of leadership, employability and computer skills will also be taught. Because FFA and SAE’s are integral components of this course, students are encouraged to maintain an SAE and to participate in activities of the FFA organization. Students are evaluated through completion of class projects, homework, participation during labs, and field trips and exams.
